What is Apimondia?
Apimondia is the International Federation of Beekeepers' Associations, bringing together beekeeping associations from around the world. Its International Apicultural Congress is regarded as one of the most comprehensive global gatherings for beekeeping science, production and trade.
In the honey competitions held at the congress, products from all over the world are evaluated by expert juries.
Why does this placing matter?
Placing in a competition where an international jury compares the best honeys of dozens of countries against the same criteria means a product's quality is recognised not only locally, but globally.
Bingöl Balı: second in the world among 120 countries
At the 45th International Apicultural Congress in 2017, Bingöl Balı placed second in the world and first in Türkiye among 600 entrants from 120 countries.
This success is independent proof that the plateau flora, traditional beekeeping culture and rigorous inspection behind the Bingöl Balı offered by GürAta deliver world-class results. In the years that followed, the honey went on to win international awards in London and Paris.
