What is the EU organic logo?
Also known as the "Euro-leaf", the EU organic logo identifies products that comply with EU organic legislation. Since 1 July 2010 it has been mandatory on pre-packaged organic food produced in the EU.
The logo may only be used on products in which at least 95% of the agricultural ingredients are organic and which have been certified by an authorised control body. It is accompanied by the code number of the control body and the place where the raw materials were farmed.
What does it guarantee to consumers?
The EU organic logo shows that a product has been made with strictly limited synthetic inputs, is traceable and is regularly inspected. It is a shared mark of trust with the same meaning across all 27 EU countries.
İlizi Organic, to European standards
GürAta's İlizi Organic olive oil holds EU organic certification. This means an independent control body has verified that the product complies not only with Türkiye's organic rules but also with those of the European Union.
For a product reaching European markets, the EU organic logo is the common language of quality, and it makes İlizi easy to recognise and trust on the shelf.
