What is Organic JAS?
JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standards) are national standards set by Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Organic JAS is the part of this system created for organic products, with detailed technical criteria from production to processing.
Certification is carried out by certification bodies registered with the Ministry.
Why does it matter?
In Japan, products without the Organic JAS logo may not be labelled "organic". Organic JAS is therefore a precondition for offering organic products in one of the world's most selective consumer markets, and a sign of strict quality discipline.
İlizi Organic, to Japanese standards
GürAta's İlizi Organic olive oil holds Organic JAS certification. Meeting Japan's detailed organic criteria shows that the product is consistently inspected at every step, from production to bottle.
Four organic certificates, from Türkiye, the EU, the US and Japan, make İlizi an internationally proven organic olive oil.
